The Judith & Norman Alix Foundation works closely with Lambton County Council to identify projects that need funding. We welcome input from the community. While we don’t have the resources to fund every project, we are receptive to ideas.
The Judith & Norman Alix Foundation supports capital projects that will have a positive impact on the people and communities in Lambton County. Within this framework, we focus our investments in organizations based on the following three criteria:
The organization requesting funding is a registered, charitable organization or municipality that conducts business within the geographic boundaries of Lambton County. If the organization applying is not a registered, charitable organization, they may consider partnering with another local registered, charitable organization and submit the funding request as a partnership for the project in which the funds are being used for.
Funding requests are for capital projects. Requests for operating funds are not considered.
The project must benefit the community at large.
The percentage contribution of the applicant's own fundraising efforts.
Evidence of community collaboration.
Whether the applicant is receiving other similar funding.
The structure and legal status of the applicant. (other Foundations are ineligible for funding.)
The relative merits of competing applications received and being assessed during the same funding period and the amount of available funds.

If you are from a group that is considering applying, the website should provide you with all the information you need to know about making an application. In particular, please read the funding criteria section prior to completing the application form.
There are two application intakes annually; one in the spring and one in the fall. Applications must be submitted by 4pm on the application closing date to be eligible for consideration in that intake. Regardless, the Foundation reserves the right to possibly consider applications outside the regular funding cycle at its own discretion.

Please DO NOT contact the Foundation for the status of your application after the application deadline. We will advise you of our decisions as soon as they are made.
If your funding application is approved, please provide us the correct legal name of your organization in which the funds will be provided to. In addition, please provide a tax receipt to the following:
